As many of you know, the Southern Prairie Railway Tour Train stops in Pangman every Saturday morning to help celebrate our weekly Farmers Market. Each week there are new tourists on the train to visit the vendors.  It was a beautiful day on Saturday, September 1, 2012 which brought many vendors out to sell their produce and other items.  Many of the folk on the train enjoyed the Farmers Market and enjoyed purchasing the various items.  The Southern Prairie Railway Tour Train folk applauded Saturday’s Farmers Market.

Saturday afternoon the Southern Prairie Railway Tour Train was in town about 4:30 pm with the group who were going to the Pitch Fork Fondue Dinner in Ogema (about 50). They had the Country Shade Band on board as musical entertainment for the trip. The band is from Regina and one member is a former resident of Ogema. They play in Regina and surrounding area at various Senior Citizen functions.  The trip was very enjoyable with a different view of all the farming land from the train.

Saturday, October 20, 2012  will be the final run and an all day 8 hour trip to Pangman and to Willows, with coffee breaks and a meal.  All meals, refreshments and entertainment will be included in our day of fun.

It is so nice for Pangman to be included in the Southern Prairie Railway Tour Train schedule and also very nice to have the platform dock in place for the train to come to.

Thanks again to all who helped make this possible with contributions from many community business owners and community members, including: 100 Year Celebration, Pangman & District Economic Development Board, The HomeTown Cafe, SEREDA Legacy Fund, Clay Cup Builders.  Also thank you to all the volunteers who came out to help build our beautiful dock.  This all helped to make it happen.
