Tanks Have Arrived at the Water Treatment Plant!
The tanks have arrived and are being set up at the Water Treatment Plant. The old cisterns have been cleaned and disinfected.

During the week of May 16th the tanks started to arrive for the Water Treatment Plant. The tanks have all arrived now and are being installed.
This past week the siding has been completed on the Water Treatment Plant.
Early in February the equipment should be arriving. Watch for updates.

On Monday, November 8, 2010 the old Water Treatment plant was torn down to make room for the new Treatment Plant.
They started to tear down the building in the morning and by late afternoon it was all gone.
The next day they started to frame a new section onto the new Water Treatment Plant were the old one stood.
Since our last post on the Water Treatment Plant there has been lots of activity at the plant.
The water line was put in, the cement floor was poured and then the construction of the walls started. This past week the roof has almost been completed. It will not be long before the exterior part of the building is complete.
At our Farmers Market on Saturday, September 18th, 2010, our MLA Dustin Duncan dropped in for coffee. Many people came out to have coffee with Dustin at the Community Centre.
Dustin also visited the Water Treatment Plant site to see how that project was progressing.

Last week they poured cement at the Water Treatment Plant. Once the cement hardens they will take down the wooden frames.
It was a very cold bleak day when they poured the cement but it did not deter some onlookers.
Last week there was lots of activity at the Water Treatment Plant site. Trucks were hauling in dirt and they were leveling out the ground for the foundation, and the piles were put in.

Yesterday, August 9th, 2010, they began digging the ground for the new Water Treatment Plant. The digging continued on today (August 10th), even though it rained yesterday.
In about 2 weeks or so, building should begin on the Water Treatment Plant. Check back for updates!
