Train Platform Update

Our Platform for the Southern Prairie Tour Train is now complete.  We will be completing the sidewalks and concrete pad at the bottom of the steps in the Spring.

We have received a grant of $1,500.00 from the Canadian Red Cross to help with the Platform project.  We were one of the communities that the Red Cross gave donations to who were affected with the flooding in 2011 to help with community projects.

So far we have raised $9,000.00 from donations received from members of the community, local businesses, grants and fundraisers.

The Pangman & District Economic Development Board would like to thank everyone for their support of this project.

Final Touches Completed on Train Platform

The Train platform is complete with safety rail and ramp all done. We would like to thank Marc & Wendy from OLDS, Alberta and James Carpenter of Claycup Development (who gave us the folks to build the rails & ramp on the platform).

It has been very nice to see the platform progress and be finished. The train folk are happy to see it completed and be so safe for the folks who ride the train.

The project has been a combined effort of the Pangman & District Economic Development Board, many volunteers and many businesses and residents who have contributed financially. It is always very rewarding to see a community project that will serve many purposes for years to come.

Thanks again to Marc & Wendy and James Carpenter for helping us complete the platform ramp & rail.
