The Pangman & District Economic Development Board hosted a supper with Cheryl Generous, CEO of Southern Prairie Railway, as guest speaker.
A delicious supper of beef on a bun, Caesar salad, beans, and angel food cake with strawberries and ice cream for dessert was served to over 80 guests. Music during supper was provided by Peter Sombody from Pangman.
Cheryl Generous, CEO of Southern Prairie Railway, spoke about the beginnings of the Tour Train, the different tour train rides available (Star Gazer, Fondue, Heritage Train) and their goals for the future. She advised that they hope to have the Heritage Train visit Pangman during our Farmers Market on Saturday mornings.
A prize of two train tickets were drawn for and also a 50/50 draw.
We would like to thank everyone who came out to raise funds for the platform to be built for the train.
We would like to remind everyone that the first Farmers Market is on Saturday, June 23, 2012 – 9 am to noon. There will also be a Community Garage Sale that day. We hope to see you there.
