New Boiler at Swimming Pool 2018

Thank your to all of the sponsors who gave generously to help in our fundraising efforts for our new boiler. We appreciate everyone who donated.

We haven’t completely hit our goal yet but it’s installed and working wonderfully.

We are working on a donor appreciation wall at the pool to reflect the donation levels of our sponsors who fall under the Bronze to Platinum categories. We will post pictures once it’s completed.

Busy Times at Pangman Pool This Summer

Well, September has arrived and school will be starting next week.  It just seems like yesterday that the pool opened. Summer seems to have just flown by this year.

Thanks to all the volunteers that came out to help tidy up the pool, with a very special thanks to the staff of RBC in Ogema.  You all did a wonderful job sprucing the pool up.

As well a big thanks to Shelbi Rowland for once again managing the pool and teaching swimming lessons. Also, thanks to all the lifeguards who worked at the pool this summer.

Unfortuantely the boiler gave out this summer, so the Pool will be holding fundraisers to help raise the funds needed to replace the boiler.  The first fundraiser was a barbeque at the pool and a midnight swim which was held on August 27th. Thanks to everyone who came out to supper the pool.

Let’s all come together and help the pool raise the funds needed to buy a new boiler so the water will be nice and warm next summer for swimming.

Pangman Future Lifeguards

Future Pangman lifeguards!! These are photos of students from 2013 and all three worked so hard to complete their Star Patrol. They were all lifeguards at the pool this year (2016).

A big thank you to Shelbi Rowland for sharing these photos and for teaching lessons this year at the Pangman Pool.

Fun Saturday of Skating on January 23, 2016

On Saturday, January 23rd the Rec Board hosted a Fun Saturday of Skating. It started at 1:00 pm.  There was a bonfire, hotdogs and hot chocolate.

Even though it was a windy day, many came out to skate and enjoy the bonfire.

It is very nice to see the skating rink set up this year.  Thank you to all those who made this possible.

Thank you to Normajean for sharing her photo with us.

2015 Canada Day Celebration

This year’s Canada Day celebration started with a breakfast, hosted by the Pangman Daycare, at the community center.  They served a delicious meal of pancakes, bacon, sausages, hashbrowns and fruit.

At 11 am we had a parade on Mergens street.  There were a lot of people who came out for the parade.

Following the parade, there was birthday cake at the community center.

During the afternoon, there was a slow-pitch baseball game and around 3 pm or so the beer gardens opened.

The evening ended with a beautiful display of fireworks.

A big thank you to the Canada Day Celebration committee for organizing this years events.
