At the Annual Meeting of the Pangman Recreation Board it was decided that the inside of the Community Centre needed a paint job. Jackie Wolstenholme volunteered to get the paint and recruit some volunteers.
On Thursday, June 23rd the prep work began and over the next few days the painting was completed.
The Pangman Rec Board would like to thank Jackie Wolstenholme and her crew, Stella Strobl, Jim & Dorothy Madigan, and Arlene Lewgood for the extra time and extra efforts in painting, cleaning and fixing the Community Centre. Your enthusiasm and knowledge on this project is so much appreciated by the community and the Pangman Rec Board. There were many other volunteers who took time out of their day as well to help out and a big thank you goes out to you as well! Thanks again Jackie for heading up this enormous task. The Community Centre looks amazing!

As part of Pangman Days this year we held a Community BBQ in the Gazebo Park to welcome new residents to our district. We had a good turnout with about 100 people attending. There was a variety of salads and desserts provided by the community and delicious burgers, hot dogs, buns and drinks provided by our sponsors.
Our Mayor introduced the many new residents who have moved to our district over the past few years. A couple, who are currently cycling across Canada to live in Vancouver, had stopped in for the night and they enjoyed the hospitality and friendliness of our community.
A good time was had by all.
Thank you again to our sponsors: Pangman Co-op, Grainbelt Agencies, Bourassa’s, Radius Credit Union, RM of Norton, Oasis, and Kathy’s Place.

The adult aquasize class has been running since early July. So far they have had good weather for the classes. They were originally at 9:00 a.m. but the time has now changed to 8:00 a.m.
I went over to check out what was happening at the aquasize class one morning. It was a beautiful warm morning and it looked like everyone was enjoying themselves in the water.
If you are are looking for an exercise that is not too hard on the body, you may want to try an aquasize class. If you do not have a season pass for the pool, the cost is $4.00 per class.
If you have any questions about aquasize you can contact Sabrina at 442-2005.
