Market Mall March 19th, 2011

On Saturday, March 19th there was another Market Mall held at the Community Centre from 10 to 1 pm.

There were a variety of items available, including Norwex products, honey, baking, jewelry, books, crafts, 100 year items and tickets for the Deep South Personal Care Home raffle. The Deep South Personal Care Home raffle will be drawn at the April 16th Market Mall.

As always, coffee was available and the Pangman & District Economic Development Board sold 50/50 tickets. The winner of the 50/50 draw was Brian Blaney.

We hope you will join us at our last Market Mall on Saturday, April 16th, 2011 at the Community Centre.

Market Mall February 19, 2011

On Saturday, February 19, 2011 we had another Market Mall at the Community Center.

There were a variety of items available, including  Norwex products.  Lisa had homemade pizza and baking items, Kathy owner of NuEra Design Jewelry had a selection of her jewelry; Debra had used books and crafts and the Ladies Auxiliary had tickets available for their current raffle (basket and Curio cabinet).

The Pangman and District Economic Development Board sold 50/50 tickets. Coffee was supplied by NuEra Design Jewelry and muffins were supplied by Eileen Tunall.

Our next Market Mall will be on Saturday, March 19, 2011 from 10 to 1. We hope to see you there.

After the Market Mall on March 19th the Annual Meeting of the Economic Development Board will be held at the Community Center. Everyone welcome.

Welcome New Residents – JoAnn Watson

On Saturday, January 22nd, 2011 at the Market Mall the Pangman and District Economic Development Board presented JoAnn Watson with a welcome basket.

JoAnn moved to Pangman in November 2010 and says she loves it here. She is formerly from Ontario.

Market Mall January 22, 2011

On Saturday, January 22, 2011 we had another Market Mall at the Community Center.

There was baking, jewellery, books, and crafts available to purchase. Ladies Auxiliary sold baking and had tickets available for their current raffle (basket and Curio cabinet).

The Pangman and District Economic Development Board sold 50/50 tickets and served coffee. Marlene Paton was the winner of the 50/50 draw.

Our next Market Mall will be on Saturday, February 19, 2011 from 10 to 1. We hope to see you there.

December 2010 Market Mall!

On Saturday, December 18th, the Economic Development Board hosted their second Market Mall of 2010 at the Community Centre.

There were a variety of items available for sale, including: handmade jewelery, quilts, stockings, books, vegetables, kitchen accessories and more. The Ladies Auxiliary sold baking and did the draw for their Christmas Basket. The 100 Year Celebration Committee had T-shirts, Hoodies, Aprons and pins for sale.

The Economic Development Board also served coffee, muffins and oranges and sold 50/50 tickets. As well, each vendor donated an item to give away as a door prize.

Our next Market Mall will be held on Saturday, January 22nd, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Come and join us for coffee, visit with friends and check out the vendor’s tables.

Market Mall Saturday, November 20, 2010

The Pangman and District Economic Development  Board hosted a Market Mall at the Community Centre on Saturday, November 20, 2010.

We had a good turn out of vendors selling Avon, Jewellery, Watkins, Crafts, Homemade  Bread, Books, and more. Home Care had a table set up where they provided information about their programs, and they also tested people’s blood sugar and blood pressure. The Economic Development Board served a continental style breakfast of muffins, fruit salad and coffee and also sold 50/50 tickets.

A big thank you to our vendors and to everyone who stopped in to shop and enjoy our continental breakfast.

Our next Market Mall will be on Saturday, December 18th, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Community Centre.  We hope to see you there.

Pangman & District EDB News!

On Saturday, October 30, 2010 the Pangman and District Economic Development Board held their monthly meeting.

We reviewed the Farmers Market surveys that were completed on the website and also the Vendor’s surveys. The majority of the feedback was very positive and we are planning to continue with the Farmers Market next year.

We presented another Welcome Basket to new residents Kathy Bryson and Doug McCullough. We will continue to present Welcome Baskets to new residents of Pangman and area.

We will be hosting a Market Mall at the Community Centre on Saturday, November 20th and Saturday, December 18th. If you are looking for Christmas gifts, baking, crafts, be sure to stop by and have a look. Or, just stop by for a coffee and a muffin and visit with friends and neighbours.

Like many other organizations and groups in Pangman, we are always looking for new members. Membership in the Pangman & District Economic Development Board is $10.00 per year. If you want to become more involved in the community and help promote our community, we would love to have you.

Our next meeting is on Saturday, November 27th at 10:00 a.m. at the Community Centre.

Welcome New Residents – Kathy Bryson & Doug McCullough

On October 30th, 2010, at our final Farmers Market, Merlin Broughton of the Pangman and District Economic Development Board presented a Welcome Basket to Kathy Bryson and Doug McCullough.

Kathy and Doug moved to Pangman from Regina in September. Kathy works part-time at BeadPlus in Regina. Doug is a musician and a truck driver.

Final Farmers Market of 2010!

On Saturday, October 30th, 2010 we had our final Farmers Market for this year.

We celebrated the final Farmers Market with a Pancake Breakfast at 8:00 a.m. followed by the Market. We had a good turnout for the Pancake Breakfast. We had quite a few Vendors selling a variety of items including: baking, dolls, kitchen ware, books, crafts and more.

The Economic Development Board would like to thank all the Vendors who participated in this year’s Farmers Market and the customers and visitors to the market. They would also like to thank all those who helped with the Farmers Market, the Pancake Breakfasts, and Hamburger Sales we had during the summer.

Pancake Breakfast at Community Centre on Saturday, October 30th.

Everyone is welcome to a Pancake Breakfast at the Community Centre on Saturday, October 30th, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. , hosted by the Pangman and District Economic Development Board.

This Pancake Breakfast will be held in conjunction with the last Farmers Market.
