Busy Times at Pangman Pool This Summer

Well, September has arrived and school will be starting next week.  It just seems like yesterday that the pool opened. Summer seems to have just flown by this year.

Thanks to all the volunteers that came out to help tidy up the pool, with a very special thanks to the staff of RBC in Ogema.  You all did a wonderful job sprucing the pool up.

As well a big thanks to Shelbi Rowland for once again managing the pool and teaching swimming lessons. Also, thanks to all the lifeguards who worked at the pool this summer.

Unfortuantely the boiler gave out this summer, so the Pool will be holding fundraisers to help raise the funds needed to replace the boiler.  The first fundraiser was a barbeque at the pool and a midnight swim which was held on August 27th. Thanks to everyone who came out to supper the pool.

Let’s all come together and help the pool raise the funds needed to buy a new boiler so the water will be nice and warm next summer for swimming.

Pangman Baseball Diamond Upgraded 2017

One of the baseball diamonds was upgraded this year with the help of donations, fundraisers, and many many volunteer hours.

The Pangman Peaches team was formed and played many games this year at the newly updated diamond.  They held a steak nite and silent auction on April 22nd which helped raise many needed funds for the diamond upgrade.

A new dugout was built as well as a play structure for the children. Many volunteers came out to build the play structure.

A big thank you to the Pangman Peaches and all the volunteers who made this happen. It is wonderful to see the updated diamond.  We look forward to watching the Pangman Peaches play more games next year!!

Pangman Canada 150 Day Celebration

Pangman had a wonderful Canada 150 day celebration thanks to the many volunteers in our community.

The day featured a breakfast at the community center, a farmer’s market at the gazebo, parade,  BBQ, children’s activities, ball games, bingo, buffet at the cafe, beer gardens and ended with fireworks.

Some photos of our parade.

Thanks to Allison for sharing her photos with us of the parade.
