Deep South Personal Care Home Auxiliary News!

The Ladies Auxiliary of the Deep South Personal Care Home would like to invite everybody to join them at thier monthly meetings the first Monday of the month at the home at 9:30 a.m. Our next meeting will be on October 5th.

At present the auxiliary is selling tickets on a Thanksgiving Hamper (tickets are 1 for$2 or 3 for$5). You can view the hamper and purchase tickets at Kathy’s Place. This hamper will hold everything you need for a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner.

We also invite you to view the painting on display at the Radius Credit Union, Pangman Branch the next time you drop in. This painting will go to the highest bidder at the end of October and would make a great Christmas present!!

Do  you have Canadian Tire money cluttering up your purse!! The auxiliary is collecting the money to be able to purchase small items needed at the Home. You can drop off you Canadian Tire Money at Kathy’s Place or the Pangman Co-op.

New School Playground Equipment Has Arrived!

For the past year or so the community has been raising funds to purchase new school playground equipment. On August 21st, the new equipment arrived and with the help of volunteers was assembled.  What a great addition to the school playground!

Farmer’s Market – Saturday, September 19, 2009

The Farmer’s Market has been held every Saturday since late June. Every Saturday we have had a good turn out of Vendors and Buyers.

On Saturday, September 19th, we had a very good turnout. About 10 or more vendors set up at the market attracting many buyers.

Buyers had a wide selection of products to choose from: fresh vegetables, homemade jam and syrup, homemade bread and deserts, puppies, books, crafts and more.

School Children Enjoying Afternoon at the Pool!

On September 3rd, Grades 1 to 5 enjoyed an afternoon at the Pool, and on September 6th, Grades 6 to 12 also enjoyed an afternoon at the pool.

What a nice break from the classroom.

Launch of the Village of Pangman Website

We are pleased to announce the launch of the Village of Pangman website.

This is a project of the Pangman and District Economic Development Board to promote Pangman.

We will be posting photos and local news in the blog portion of the website. If you have a story to share, ie Anniversary celebration, Birthday celebration, special events etc., please use the contact us form or email us at welcome@pangman.ca.

Our goal is to make this website a place where members of the community and visitors can find information and local news about Pangman and area.
